The helmet was found near the village of Mikoyan in the West of Stalingrad (now Volgograd). The helmet was found in the vicinity of the dugouts, among the plurality of cartridges from a machine gun MG34. The helmet belonged to a Wehrmacht machine-gunner, was also found dog tag to support this fact. The exact location of the finds shown on Google maps
