The helmet was found near Stalingrad, in the central area of Volgograd, in the courtyard of the house, when they were digging a trench for the foundation. The helmet lay at a depth of 70 centimeters. The helmet was found in 2001 and was kept in the collection all the time. Remnants of a late-type star can be seen on the helmet.
