Badge “Day of the Wehrmacht” / from Stalingrad

A KWHW “Day of the Wehrmacht” Heroische Embleme Tinnie 1941/42. This Heroic Emblem (Heroische Emblem – Schwert vor Hakenkreuz im runden Eichenlaubkranz) was a part of the KWKW (kriegswinterhilfswerk) in the “Tag Der Wehrmacht” series during March 28th and 29th 1941/42, and was carried out by the Wehrmacht for the NSKOV, NSRKB, DRK and RTB. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a centrally placed downward pointing broad sword in front of a mobile swastika and sun rays surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. This Badge was found near Stalingrad in March’ 2020. Location – Wehrmacht combat positions near the village “Buzinovka”. An inexpensive addition to your collection.
