Rare Reconnaissance Clasp (Frontflugspange für Aufklärer) was found in 2000s in a burnt pit near runway of airfield Pitomnik. About 30 such clasps were found in one place. Most likely these badges were not awarded to soldiers and officers. Reconnaissance Clasp during all the excavations in Stalingrad were found only in the vicinity of the airfield Pitomnik
