Shot glass 3rd J.D. (mot.) / from Stalingrad

A shot glass made from an aircraft cannon shell with the inscription 8th motorized regiment of the 3rd motorized division with the emblem of the 3rd J.D. (mot.) from Stalingrad. Material – brass, tin-coated on the inside for easy consumption of drinks. Original patina and traces of impacts and explosions. The 3rd motorized division and its 8th regiment broke through the corridor to the Volga River in August 1942 during the offensive as part of the 14th Panzer Corps of Wittersheim. A wonderful original trench artifact. Found near a dugout among other items at the sites of fierce battles in the west of the cauldron near the village of Karpowka.
