The helmet M40 was found not far from the runway of Gumrak airfield (Stalingrad area). In the last photo you can see how this place looked on aerial photographs during the war, and how it looks now. The pity that can be seen on modern maps are German dugouts, and his helmet was found in one of them. Along with the helmet were found many buttons, fasteners, belts, buckles, etc. were found. Apparently it was a German uniform warehouse. Helmet gas two layers of paint. Size – 64
